For more than two decades, I’ve been greatly involved in creating, building and eventually opening restaurants.
And it’s always special. Always.
Creating concepts, training the staff, seeing the concept develop each day, seeing people work together to build something new , introducing the outlet to the market and eventually seeing people enjoy your creation as a team still excites me today as it did then. Such was the case when we built Cioccolata, then 9 Spoons and then Sky Deck when we opened the hotel in 2011.
In a couple of weeks, The Bayleaf will be introducing its fourth F&B outlet. The space used to be a veranda of the meeting rooms in Level 3. And the concept? Well, we thought of bringing in a fresh take on woodfired pizza dining. Of course this is not a new concept but it still excites us to have this kind of venue right inside Intramuros.
In this historic place, Raffaele provides a pleasant contrast to its surrounding with its glass walls, glass ceiling and brightly colored furniture. The view, of course, is the historic wall just a few meters away.
So if you’re thinking of a new place to visit somewhere right in the heart of Manila’s oldest district, a pizza venue specifically, Raffaele could be a good choice.
See you there!
